I would skip shut-offs and go to electric drives. That and center fill to save time, and have few problems.

+1 on the electric drives. I can easily gain a 1 mph because they run so much smoother than chains.

I use the exact same planter bar. Its not worn, so I just keep rebuilding it to what I want. Buying a new planter bar adds zero value. It's what's on the planter bar.

My 7200 runs:
1- Xp row units
2- Three bu poly boxes (filled with bulk corn)
3-Agleader sure force
4-Ag leader sure drive electric
5-PP e set meters

I can easily achieve 99% singulation at 6 mph. The auto shut-offs (whether clutches or electric drives) really speed up planting.

I can average as many acres a day with auto shut-offs and big boxes on a 12 row as a friend of mine can with a 16 row that has 1.6 bu boxes and has to stop on the ends to raise the planter.

I've got a 25 bu CCS refuge tank in the shed. I may convert mine to center fill at some point just to have a conversation piece:-)
