Cells do not have political ideology. But after reading the Internet for years now, I can tell that understanding how cells work definitely has political links. It seems that there is a fringe component on both the left and the right that will weaponize people's lack of understanding to push their political agenda.

Trying having a conversation about biotechnology in food with someone on the far left, it's just as hard as talking about now nuclear power and solar panels work with pro-coal conservatives.
