The only reason to plant beans is to have soybean stubble to plant corn into the following year.     I’m only half joking.  


For the OP, generic valor, metribuzin and generic prowl is hard to beat on both price and effectiveness.    Valor and Mtz can be hard on beans but putting it out early and getting a rain prior to bean planting pretty much eliminates the chance of significant injury.
