On a press release this morning China put out NEW demand numbers for grains, in doing this they state that they are changing feed options to animal units going back to the old ways of backyard feeding and reducing meal and corn demand. Personally I think they are just covering up for the fact that their population is in systematic decline and they have over counted their current population. since we are their supplier of last choice it will hit the US growers the hardest.

last week they cancelled a large pork sale, rumblings are that they are done with Beef purchases from the US, corn and beans will be way down.

lucky for us we are being told that India will be our saviors,

color me skeptical

There has been a global trade war as long as there have been countries to trade goods. Everyone wants a leg up on the other countries……

I put very little stock in China’s statement here. It is fluff to add to the Sabre rattling going on all around.

People gotta eat, livestock need feed.

If there were or are less people or livestock, it would be in small per portion year to year. One country can create a narrative for a few months and have a market influence but year to year things will come out pretty close.

China has done ‘market influence’ so often over the last 50 years…. Let’s sit back a bit, stay calm, and let things work out.

My view.
