Surprisingly things still look pretty good. Most all of the wheat is ahead of normal schedule because it hasn't froze since the end of March. The tops of hills look bad..........but a majority of the fields are still green and pretty much all headed now.

It's amazing what our country will grow with little rain if we fill up our profile ahead of time. Last November's 5 to 6" of slow rain filled us up. If we had an inch or two of rain this Spring we'd probably be harvesting 60+ bushel wheat. As it is..........it looks like there'll still be may be a 20 to 40 bpa type crop out there. Still over a month until the finish line though. So I'm not counting my chickens just yet. Haha
