I’m NW of Salina 45 miles on the saline river. I’m a farmer and do good quality alfalfa to sell. I’d just cash rent from $80-$100 and keep it simple. The devil works in the details of doing it on shares.
The most common grain crop share is 1/3-2/3 but with alfalfa there is extra labor involved I believe making it a good deal for the landlord.
