When I had alfalfa on rented ground it was 2/3, 1/3 just like the grain share. I paid the seed, did all the work and bought their share of the crop. This was upland heavy ground, didn't produce alot unless we got ample moisture. And was back before gmo high priced seed. So not sure how those terms would be today.
