| Cultivating ripped bean stubble for corn. Clay loam soils. Had the cultivator set 2-2.5" deep but the single point depth control got messed up and ended up working a good portion at 3.5-4" deep, and the heat and wind today sucked out all the moisture out of the loose soil. This will not be planted before the rain Thursday and Friday. Question is, do I cultivate the second pass tomorrow and leave it, do I cultivate and pull the land roller over it (which is not uncommon here) before the rain or do I wait until after the rain to do my second pass with the cultivator then plant? What's your opinions. | |
