Hilltop Husker - 4/29/2025 05:44 Why does a Lutheran Bible have 66 books while an Orthodox one has upwards of 80? Seems like any difference would be revision and deletion. The Torah has changed dozens of times over millennia. From esoteric to the mystic snippets were changed here and there. We know this from existing text. If there were not changes made why is Mark different from the other gospel? Why does each gospel tell different accounts of the same event?

I have been told that when police are investigating when they talk to witnesses if they get two or three reports that are the exactly the same they pretty much know the people got together before hand and made their stories match. Everyone see's the same events differently. How often do you tell the same story exactly the same? I don't as often I add something that I forgot or decide a detail is not important and leave it out. Luke being a Doctor wpuld see things from a different point of view that Peter a fisherman for instance.
