Good luck. I know your fight well. That’s one reason why I dread grazing season. Our brown, drought stressed, dead pastures 11 months out of the year on dry prairie are not appealing to them. Especially after 4 inches of yearly rain. But the millet hay growing next door is. Iv tried 3 strand electric, and it works till the weeds are gone then they get pissed and bull dozed threw it. Once the good spring grass is gone it’s a crapshoot after that. I’d say cull if you can afford to!! Im nervous if the drought is to bad the grass is to hard to snap off and they accidentally pull the whole plant up with nothing holding it down. Had that happen back in the drought of 2012. I like to keep my stocking rates about 1/2 what they should be in fear of that. Keep in mind the neighbors with cattle can make mistakes on his grass, But it’s unacceptable if you do!!! And they’re watching you like a hawk.

That sheep netting is the way to go if culling doesn’t work but you’d have to rob 3 banks and your Grandma to fence off a half section with it. I’m going to go back to 6-7 strands of wire. 4 bottom are electric and then the top two or three is Barbwire. And water the ground rods daily!! That’s key in our climate
