I learned when I was in school some 45 years ago, there is a property called "geotropism" the hormones work with gravity to make the roots head down and the coleoptile go up it takes a while for those to respond to the pull of gravity


I was gonna move to “geotropism” but the houses were too expensive there, plus my wife thought the schools aren’t very good. Lol


Geotropism is a real thing but there hasn’t been a planter made that can put the corn seed right side up every time.

That’s prolly the only next “big thing” that could be done to planters to improve emergence, just guessing though.
