Further back up in this thread I posted a chart showing the differences between the ancient copies of the New Testament and other ancient writings. For example, there are 10 extant copies of "Caesar's Wars" but the oldest copy of that document that has been discovered is about 1,000 years after the original writing. By comparison, there exists over 5,000 copies, in whole or in part, of the New Testament. The earliest of those copies were made less than 100 years after the original writing. Differences between the copies amount to less than 1% of the material. No other ancient document comes close to that accuracy. Please show me one "difference" that changes/contradicts any doctrine that is taught in Scripture. |
