Subject: Wheat Protein

CK KS
Located in Central KS. I'm looking to sell wheat to a local flour mill. The protein levels need to be above 12.5%, ideally, they would like 13.5% protein. Test weight 58lbs or better. Usually don't struggle with TW unless its a real dry year. (have had good luck with moisture so far this year) I have hit those protein levels before, but it has been spotty at best. One truck load would test 14%, then the next would test 11%. I have been told running fungicide and a foliar fertilizer at flag leaf would bump and stabilize my protein levels. Does anybody have an idea what amount of protein bump I would be looking at? Test Weight? Even if it is consistently 12.5%, that would be better than the variable levels I had before.
