Northeast, Nebraska | Here is a funny story about seed talc and graphite. In 2010 we bought a 8816 16row centerfill planter. It had the white positive air pressure meters on it which don't require talc or graphite so we never ever used any. Never ever had a hose plug or anything and I had a 2 year cycle of running a sticky biological on my corn seed. Still no issues. Last season I switched it all over to precision and since those require the talc/graphite mix, we started using it. I plugged 2 lines towards the end of the season last year. Not sure if i was using too much or what, but I was noticing more talc/graphite in the seed boxes when I filled | |
