This whole “anhydrous for runways” is quite the tall tale. In WW2 they used anhydrous lime….. cement…. To build runways.

Those uneducated in chemistry mistake “anhydrous” as anhydrous ammonia. Anhydrous is simply a term meaning devoid of water. Anything can be anhydrous. Ammonia, lime. Leave a pail of water sit out and watch it evaporate. Boom….. anhydrous water.

Anhydrous ammonia for runways is fake news.
