Very possibly I don't understand the need nor desirability to going with an Internet connection and paying the yearly fee for the Essentials license.
The post below summarizes the capabilities of both arrangements and some of the features of going with the cloud based approach. Many of the features of the cloud based approach would be very useful to larger operations but I don't see the value for our operation.
I don't have a modem in my planting tractor, grain cart tractor, Hagie sprayer or combine. We are a small operation and only have one of each so being able to share AB lines, position, data is not important to us as it would for larger operations.
I may be missing a lot but I've been happy with this approach. It just seems that there should be a way to delete some of the data as a housekeeping activity. For example, I would be happy just to have all the data "disappear" for any activities and field names etc. prior to 2024.
