agfiniti will also communicate directly with the display either directly or over a mutual wifi connection. when i connect my ipad and the incommand to the same br1 modem, which the display is using for rtk ntrip it will pull the data off the display and put it directly on the ipad which is somewhat undesirable to me as i would much rather choose what gets put onto the ipad.
secondly, i have been incredibly confused about the two app differences myself and more recently i have learned that about everything i use agfiniti for is free to me where i have been paying for an essentials license for years.
i guess i am curious why you choose to go the direction you do when the agfiniti app seems to do everything you explain and from what i understand is also free to a point. i am not questioning the route you take i just truly don't understand why i use one and not the other. i do take advantage of moving ans storing log files via the cload and that is very handy to do as all my days data is at my desktop when i open sms at night.
i am just not sure of why i do what i do. i tend to take the information i want out of sms basic and send it to my ipad via agfiniti. i just wish i could understand why one way or the other is better and what exactly i am getting paying for the license.
this year i went to a precision planting gen3 display so i am assuming i even further need an essentials license less but its paid up for the year and we will see if we utilize it or not. i really need to do some research on what i am paying for vs what i need.
i guess i am not much help to your question but if agfiniti also syncs to the display and you can manage your data in agfiniti have you ever considered trying that? if your an sms user they kind of somewhat complement eachother in my opinion. | |
