Move up your timeline. End of May is too late. Warm days and low humidity it will turn to straw in 24 hours. Been there done that. Even if you try to wrap it wet and force feed it still junk. May 15 would be better if he wants to feed it and I wonder if that’s almost too late. Those woody stems aren’t palatable when they dry.
