Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I have successfully used Ag Finiti Mobile for several years now. This is an Ag Leader App on an iPad that communicates with my InCommand 1200. It does this wirelessly through an Access Point type of communication.
Ag Finiti Mobile (which I use) is not to be confused with Ag Finiti (requires the Internet and a subscription). The two are different Apps but have similarities. Ag Finiti Mobile can only be installed on an iPad. It communicates directly with an Ag Leader display wirelessly so the two must be reasonably close to each other.
Ag Finiti can be installed on an iPad or iPhone. Ag Finiti requires an Internet connection and communicates via the cloud to other devices. I wish they had chosen completely different names to discriminate between the two products.
My iPad, InCommand 1200 and GPS 7500 unlocked and subscribed to Terra Star Pro C are installed in the planting tractor during planting. The InCommand handles steering, population monitoring, section control, down force monitoring, starter fertilizer monitoring and spray control on the planter. This information is shown on the InCommand but also transferred to the Ag Finiti Mobile App on an iPad each time a field is completed. These maps/summaries remain on the App can be used throughout the season and future seasons. Maps can be printed directly from the App.
For spraying, the iPad, the InCommand 1200 and GPS get moved to the Hagie sprayer. The InCommand works with a Liquid Product Control module to control the spraying operation. Again the spray maps/summaries are transmitted wirelessly to the Ag Finiti App on the iPad.
When harvest time rolls around, I move the iPad, the InCommand 1200 and GPS to the combine. There the InCommand works with yield monitoring and steering via Steady Steer. The yield maps/summaries etc. are transmitted wirelessly to the Ag Finiti App on the iPad.
This means I can view the results and print maps from the iPad at any time. This really works out very well for our operation.
However, now that I've done this a few years, I would like to do a bit of housekeeping. I would like to delete some of the old no longer needed operations and fields. I have found no way to do this short of deleting the entire app and reinstalling it. This means I would be starting from a clean slate which is not completely desirable. I want to selectively delete certain parts of the history such as all data prior to 2024.
Several years ago when Ag Leader had their 25th celebration, I attended and literally carried my iPad with me. I felt that someone there should be able to explain this to me. One Tech said he would investigate the matter over lunch. When I checked with him after lunch, his reply was that he had not found an answer since they couldn't understand why anyone would want to do what I desired.
I'm thinking there must be a way which may be very simple and I've just missed it. Any ideas?
