Back in the 60's a neighbor accidentally planted a whole field to corn at 20,000 population. He thought it would be the end of the world to plant more than the normal 16,000 farmers planted at the time. He talked about disking the field crossways with a straight disk set straight but he let it grow at 20,000 and came out OK. This is in Iowa with our black soil and sometimes abundant rainfall.
Good Thing it was a small field….
