 northeastern Ohio | Smaller seed takes less moisture to germinate. Larger seed takes more. Plant the larger first and the smaller last.
I like smaller seed. I can put more units in my hoppers and as I get older it is easier to lift those bags. Small seed is most likely rounds and seems to meter better with vacuum meters. I haven't run a finger pickup in 30 years, but I would guess they like flats better than rounds.
