| any body ever experiment planting corn in fall chiseled soybean ground?...I ask this question because abut 20 years ago I chiseled up the area where trucks were loaded at the end of the field. I striptilled the field that spring, but did not touch the worked up spot on the end. It was a small enough spot I did not drag out the field cultivator so I just planted the slightly rough chiseled ground without working it. I came up just fine and looked good all year. ....At harvest I was taking out the ends, corn was good, when I got to the fall chiseled spot, it just about killed the combine. It looked like a different variety was there, very healthy. It definitely was the best spot in the field. | |
