Heart of Texas | I’m at my wits end. I am a fledgling owner operator who can usually fix his own equipment and I am resisting calling a tech out because I think this is something simple yet I need some wisdom Ag Talkers…
I lost auto steer, it will not engage, when I go into the steering icon it tells me No HC power.
So I go check power to the accuboom node and although I did find some corrosion in a wire, I fixed that and have 12.6v with engine off at both pins and good grounds.
This is on a Case Floater truck (Titan 4040)Viper 4. Liquid setup.
Gps still works, automatic section control still works, everything works, just won’t engage steering!
Tracing every dang wire on harness I did find one thing that I’m not sure about…
Three orange looking wires that look to terminate in a triangular plug but the terminator is missing, I’m not even sure what goes there, maybe someone will know. The tag is faded, it’s a triangular plastic plug that seems to be pulled loose or missing a cap yet I can’t find where it goes.
I’ve hand driven a couple thousand acres old school light bar style and this is my last try before sinking my savings into a service call.
Node has lights correct from what I see, it’s really hard to get a head on look at it where they have it installed. However it looks like HC power is lit up, as well as logic. For dang sure it’s got voltage on the pins and the plug was clean and dry.
From doing my own research I think I may have a bad node or bad terminator however before I go pulling things apart and create more problems I hope someone here can shed some light on me. I appreciate anything you guys can offer. | |
