Yes, Europeans tend to be healthier but have less wealth, while Americans are wealthier but generally less healthy. Ultimately, it comes down to personal choices. I personally turned down many opportunities in order to maintain a better work-life balance. I don’t need five bathrooms to be happy.

You were implying that Europeans are worthless freeloaders, even though many of us consciously choose to live with less. And honestly, when you look consider in factors like health and happiness, our productivity isn't lagging that far behind the U.S.

So what’s your point exactly? Are you just repeating Trump’s talking points about Europe benefiting from U.S. defense spending? On that note, I can actually agree, I'm glad the EU finally got a wake-up call, because I hate relying on other countries for our security. Trump spurred a lot of investment in our own defence industry, while pausing contracts with U.S. arms suppliers. And that's a very good development - for us.

However, it’s also worth mentioning that the U.S. isn't exactly a beacon of stability, especially in the Middle East. The disaster in Yemen, for instance, can be directly linked to Trump pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal and the blind, unconditional support for Israel. It's easy to accuse other countries of not pulling their weight if you only measure strength in terms of military power and ignore the importance of sensible diplomacy. If you're not strong you have to be clever.
