I run a 392 with a RV55 modem -- the modem cable goes directly into the round connector on the right rear of the 392. The harness on the tractor plugged into the rectangular port on the 392 without any sort of adapters. I haven't tried tried the adapter cable to make it work with the 372 connectors.
