midwest | Trump is about his brand first. It has never been about America First, or anything First other than the Trump name. He wrecks everything, especially what the democrats start, so that he can build it all back "bigger and better." The one biggest problem is that, unlike within the Trump Organization, in the White House he can't completely control the narrative. Oh, he's trying. Prevent the "anti-Trump" news organization from having access, sue them, suggest they're breaking the law, call them the "enemy of the people," bully, threaten, and name-call. Another big problem is that, again unlike the Trump Organization where he has complete fealty from his subordinates, in the U.S. government, his loyalist appointees are mostly incompetent to the task at hand since loyalty is the most important trait. Anyone would be when they don't have the experience necessary. And someone in the bureaucracy will eventually whistleblow, although it seems that the incompetency is so egregious these days that it's sticking out like a sore thumb. Trump is so into himself, he can't see how these issues completely castrate his "concept of a plan." His six bankruptcies indicate that his go it alone strategy results in planning and execution problems.
