| I can agree that DEI is sold to us as equal opportunity but when put into practice it means hiring based on race and gender. Its purpose and goal is to make sure that all of the varieties of genders and races are present in companies. That is equality of outcome, not opportunity.
If it was actually about equal opportunity it would be against race and gender being factors for getting hired. Simply put, equal opportunity means everyone has an equal chance at a job and the best candidate for the job gets hired.
Excluding a candidate based on race or gender is the definition of race and gender discrimination. It really is that simple.
There isn’t an administration out there that doesn’t hire based on loyalty. Every previous administration, including the Biden Administration, hired based on loyalty. It’s the nature of politics.
In a perfect world the best person for the job would always be hired. In the imperfect world we live in other factors cause odd choices to occur.
