tx panhandle
I am goin to advise the other way. In short dry grass country. I would suggest overstocking until the cheat is headed and mostly gone. After cheat is cleaned up pull off and let the good grass come. Maybe some 24d if it needed in the summer. Most importantly let buffalo grass and gamma grass go to seed. Hope for some wet summers to help this speed up the process. I have cleaned up some small pastures doing this. If not able to do this bale cheat when headed and good. It will be very low tonnage but that isn't the goal. Only feed bales in corrals. Good luck its a fight without rain. On a side note that what cheat is called is a difference between farmer and rancher. A farmer calls it cheat, to a rancher its winter grass.
