In our area, Helena has a liquid plant that is priced pretty competitively with dry. Lots of folks here are only liquid plowdown fert. More worried that it’s more abrasive and eat my meters and pump.
Well, that's different and great! If it were me in your situation, I'd invest in chaffer bars to put product down. I know you could do it more accurately and evenly then most any spinner spreader. Things like 10-34-0 can make you pull your hair out with fine nozzles and plugged filter screens, but the chaffers have relatively large orifices less likely to clog up. I don't know for sure, buy maybe streamer nozzles would work well, too. As far as hard on the system, I'm sure it's more abrasive then water, but how much I don't know.
Sure wish our Helena outlet was close dry vs liquid! |
