When I was first learning to stick weld, I had a rod stick & heat up red- hot. Forgot that I had not put leather gloves on & grapped the stick to break it loose. Obviously got a streak- burn right across the fingers. Ran to the refrigerator in the kitchen & got out a bottle of vitamin E capsules, cut one open & smeared the wheat- germ oil on Burns & 10 minutes later- no pain, no scar
