My grandma taught me a long time ago to put bleach on a burn. Sounds stupid but works. I keep a squirt bottle in the shop and have never had it fail. I've absent mindedly grabbed a hot piece of steel after welding or torching and treated immediately. Turned white but never blisters and no pain.
