Does the speed of a grain drill metering roll influence spacing?

illinidirtfarmer - 4/22/2025 13:37 A drill with fluted rolls is a controlled spill device, you put beans in the top and they come out the bottom in a completely random and unpredictable pattern. About the best you can do with a drill is get the total beans per acre correct. They will never give even spacing like you can get through a meter on a planter. 

To OP - There's nothing you can do to improve spacing, with a drill / your drill . . . . .
