Well, I don't know, but your reasoning sounds good. Now you need to do some testing.
Try different settings and see what happens. Pull the drill over some hard surface like a driveway, or rig it up to run the seed meters without moving the drill. A video camera would be helpful during your evaluation.
And let us know what you find out.

After thought. What settings does Great Plains recommend for seeding soybeans? They should know what is best.
