| It depends a bit on what they use... I'm not familiar with Kuhn.
A blanket statement - I'd say you should be able to do it.
A circular saw will cut the plastic easily, push the saw through to avoid melting and rewelding of chips.
If it's boards, it could be really easy. If it's sheeting, you might have to get special fasteners. Take your cue from the sections that aren't missing for the type of fastener used.
The boards - use a forstner drillbit to countersink, then use any old bolt to attach to the support underneath.
The sheeting - our JBS spreader has it; it's attached with wide head self-drilling screws. They go through the plastic straight into the support. They aren't very tall, so little drag is produced if you don't countersink. I'd look at a fastener supply place for these.
The plastic itself can be relatively costly, but a dump truck service place might have scrap sections you can use (for cheaper).
I recommend UHMW; it's likely what was on there, and it's easier to work with.
It's important to check whether the OEM had put expansion allowance when fastening. (He likely didn't, but if he did, you NEED to)
