East Central Arkansas
I am glad someone else brought this up. I have been involved with mowing and helping take care of our local cemetery since I was very young. Just able to run a Cub Farmal.
Yes the problem of folks placing "junk" around graves has become a problem. Many don't remove anything they just add to it. Flowers the same way.
Just the past summer started back doing the mowing myself after the man we had mowing quit. Most just don't realize the work involved other than the mowing that it takes to help maintain a cemetery.
I see folks that I am pretty sure have nice manicured yards that don't treat the cemetery as well as there yards. There's the funeral homes, vault companies and the headstone companies you have to deal with. Funeral homes these days think they have to drive right to the grave sight these days with everything. I will say one of the headstone companies is doing a lot better. They recently got a three wheel self propelled rig with floatation type tires.
