if you know how to braze, go for it. Paper thin sections of worn tubing is going to tell you real quick about your level of expertise. compression fittings work fine.. replacing the entire steel line with regular rubber hydraulic hose with correct fittings does too. on my 11xx's there's very few original steel lines that haven't been brazed or replaced with rubber.
