Subject: RE: Cemetery decorations

Iam on a rural cemetery board. were seeing a lot more stuff put around graves. We spray roundup around the graves instead of weedeating, so as long as its right up next to the headstone we leave it. If its out where it interfears with the mower it goes.

Occasionally we have someone complane about the roundup vs weedeating. I tell them go get your weedeater and you can do it. They always reply either Iam not able or I dont have time. So I replay thats why we spray.

Its only a matter of time before that dinosaur gets blown over and ends up in the mowers way.

Every year in march we have a work day, most of the flowers put out on memorial day are still there, looking pretty bad after being out all year. we pick them up and throw them away, unless they are obvioulsy put out recently and look good. people complain about that, but there is a sign posted that we are going to do it, so pick up your flowers and put them back out later, if you think they still look good enough to put out. most of them dont

One time one of the baard members went past the cemetery early one morning. There was an old hearse parked there. He went to investigate, and there was a couple laying in the back of it nekked who decided to have a party there the night before and passed out. He banged on the roof, and told them to get going, the sherriff was on his way
