| I grew up by a cemetery. 200 yards away. Lots of the traffic at night is probably drug deals.
Some of it is weirdos, they had a sign on the country road 15!years back for “no trucks” to keep oilfield traffic off the failing road. Dad noticed it was gone a few weeks ago, asked commissioner about it. (Oilfield deal is long gone) he said a lady in town kept calling and griping because the dead people couldn’t walk the road. I kid you not. They took it down to get her to quit calling.
We farmed through fields full of fake flowers my whole life, not really a problem. Usually the folks griping about the condition of a cemetery aren’t willing to donate to the grounds fund.
I know my kin aren’t in that cemetery so I put little stock in the place in general. But I’m all for people doing whatever eases their pain. I’m with the guy above that wants a wood cross in the cow pasture. Ash to ash and dust to dust reference to Genesis 3:19 loosely. | |
