Subject: Be careful out there

ne SD
I probably should take my own advice. I was going down a county road that goes by an ethanol plant. I was watching the truck traffic coming and going because I was in a versatile 4x4 pulling a 40’ turbo till. The railroad has a double track for the ethanol plant to dump the cars going across the road. I saw the parked train didn’t see a freight train coming until it was 100 feet away. I pulled the throttle back and hit the brakes and I guess I pushed to hard and blew the brake line. So I spun the steering wheel to the right as fast as I could and down the ditch I went. The left side duals missed the train by about 4 feet. I felt really stupid for not double checking the tracks. The picture is after I drove back up the ditch the crossing sign went dead center of tractor as I ran it over. I contacted the rr and they said they would send crew out to fix sign. Sorry for the long post
