Subject: 4700 sprayer planetary reseal

southern middle tennessee
Can someone shed some light on resealing the planetary on a 4700 Deere. My front left one drips very small amount since I’ve had it. We had the plantary apart last year and resealed and put new bearings in and it still leaks. I’ve heard on the newer sprayers the hub nut requires like 2500 ft lbs of torque to set the bearings so I’m not sure if these are the same or not.

Side note the bearings were extremely tight to get on and off the axle not sure if that’s normal.

I’ve heard of a few places around the country you can remove the planetary and have it rebuilt. But really would like to fix it myself just to save time.
