| Daughter has a ‘24 Chevy 2500 w/ 6.6 engine & 10 spd Allison tranny that she pulls a 36’ 3 horse trailer with living quarters to take our granddaughter to rodeos. Last weekend headed to a rodeo ~ 3 hrs from home the tranny started acting up. She took it to a Chevy dealer in the city where the rodeo was at. Service manage told her it had a bad valve body & it was back ordered & 3-3 months out. He did tell her it would be ok to get back home with but not to push it.
She called dealer where she bought it & was able to get it in. They told her the same- bad valve body & would take 3/3 months to get. Also said because she drove it warranty might not cover it, even though other dealer said it was ok to drive.
She asked about getting a truck to use until hers could be repaired. Dealer said they had one but could not go out of state or pull anything with it. Granddaughter had rodeos in May in Ondians, they live in Illinois, another rodeo in Tennessee in June, & quailed for the Lil Britches National Finals in Oklahoma in July plus several small rodeos during that time period
Ok, for my question- Does anyone know where they could possibly lease a pickup for either short periods of time or for 3-4 months? Also, what should she expect to pay if she could find something. She said she looked on Uhauls website but didn’t see anything
