Malta, Illinois | We have had rain here but it seems to have a hard time raining. We have had 1.4" in the past week and there are a lot of beans planted and some corn. I wouldn't want to hazard a guess on how much. We have been really dry so we can soak quite a bit up before we are delayed severely. There are a lot of chances for rain in the 10 day forecast so maybe we are looking at a pattern change. We would consider getting the corn in before May 10th acceptable so still plenty of time. With talk of wetness here and there it seems like it will be a struggle to plant 95 million acres of corn in a timely fashion. | |
