Nwmo | I think they want you to fast for 12 hours for a lipid panel. Shorter fast and your triglycerides will be higher, longer fasts can raise your cholesterol I believe. Beings she had an infection and was on antibiotics I would get another test. Based on my observations, lipid panels can change quite a bit based on short term diet changes and fasting status, I can't imagine what an infection or medicine would do. | |
