EC IA | We start calving around first week in April. We always joke that we wait for mud season instead of frozen season. Been fairly dry here lately until today. We got about 15 calves on the ground out of 45. 3 sets of twins. Use the old dry cow pen from milking cow days for calving barn. Turn 20 or so out to pasture and rest get drylotted on 3 acres with hoop barn and feed tmr all summer. Calves from drylott are usually bigger come weaning time.
