N FLA
I think she is scheming for new golf clubs.

We made 7 sacks of feed yesterday. I sold 7 sacks yesterday.
I'm basically just keeping up with orders.

I'm doing 90% corn and 10% peanut skins. I'm at $250 for 1500 pounds.

I pay 10 cents per pound for the peanut skins. Corn is about $5.75 delivered to the chicken feed mill. So about 10 cents also. I currently get free sacks and free pallets.

I feel like I need to sell a 12% maintenance feed also, maybe. But I'm not sure I can buy and handle the ingredients very conveniently. Or even economically.

Last week the feed mill near me quit selling to small customers. And the feed mill near my work (which is 45 miles south and next closest) will no longer help load recycled sacks for customers. They will only load creep feeders or trailers. They only sell sacks of their mixed eed and have a $50 charge for the sack above feed cost.

I got these prices at the feed mill from a friend who loads his creep feeder down there.

Whole corn 308
Grower finisher 15% medicated 392
60/40 13% protein 317
I believe those would be $50 more in a one ton sack.

I think the small homestead animal based ranchette is the future of agriculture in my area. Doesn't bode well for my career as an agronomist but maybe I can reibrand myself if it comes to that.
