It’s not about the financial hit.. it’s the Chaos. Businesses need a stable predictable climate. In order to build factories.. and then recoup investments.
that’s the true problem. Jon, evidently you’ve never experienced a bad breakup or divorce. Always a period of extreme turmoil, then things get much better once you’ve found a partner who actually gives a crap about you, stability returns, and you enjoy making investments of time and money to further nurture the relationship. Business is no different, chit on your best customer, and they’re gonna wise up and leave you. Plain and simple. I don’t know why this concept is so hard to understand.
Let's say you go to a grocery store and this grocery store got so big and cheap it became the only one in the state.
Suddenly they are not so good to shop at anymore.
Do you
A: Tell em to piss off, "I ain't gonna shop here no more" and have them bar you from the store after which you realize you have NO WHERE else to get groceries
B: Find a new source for your groceries and THEN go in and tell em to "piss off, I ain't gonna shop here no more"
See, what he is doing is just fine. What the problem is, is the backup we are supposed to fall back on is YEARS away.
So if Chineeboys say "hey usa, scwewyou, we send you no mo stuffy no more" what exactly are we gonna do?
Now someone will chime in and say "they need our market more than we need their stuff"
but that is literally pure ignorance
pick ANY bearing in ANYTHING you own that has bearings in it, dare you to find ONE that does not say "made in china" on it
