Farmington, Mo | Was fortunate enough to be there back in the summer of 2008. Was on a group tour so the names of the towns where we stayed escape me.
Definitely walk the beaches of Normandy at low tide…pretty sobering to see what the boys were up against over that expanse of wide open sand! Point Du Hoc just to the west of Normandy is very cool as well…lots of German artillery bunkers still there.
The museum as someone else mentioned is worth the visit. | |
