Eastern NE KS | I have the same problem with Nationwide, no coverage for cosmetic damage to our barn.
We needed the roof painted. White roof was gray galvanized color.
First contractor looked for hail dents to get insurance involved. She could not find any damage. She commented we are lucky the roof was "Strongbarn" and heavy gauge. She wanted $27k to inspect and fix all loose fasteners then paint with a white rubber sealant. Real good stuff but beyond our budget.
Anyway, we went with a minimum paint job, $5k and no extra insurance to cover cosmetic damage. | |
