North of London | Just one ballot for a Member of Parliament so only 1 vote allowed for multiple candidates in each riding.
There were 4 candidates on ballot in my riding some ridings will have more and a few have protestors who have registered dozens on candidates for people to wade through to select the one they want.
We do not choose who our Prime minister is the Members of Parliament make that decision in practice we know who is leading each party so can choose a candidate that is affiliated with that party but no rule says they have to agree that person continues to be selected as PM.
Only people in the ridings of potential PM's get to vote directly for them.
Ontario had a Provincial election about a month ago other provinces will have elections at different times according to their decisions
Municipal elections are held on a determined schedule in Ontario that happens on the 4th Monday of October every 4th year. Last one was in 2022.
Other province will have different rules, dates etc | |
