Why do we have Bibles from the early church that have books no long in the modern versions? Why are there remnants of the stories in these books still in Christian traditions without them being biblical any longer? The mainline churches don't even have the same Bibles as each other. Some have 81, others 73 while others only have 66 canon books.
I struggle with these questions myself.
Google "wesley huff on joe rogan". Huff does an excellent job explaining why certain books are considered to not be authentic and therefore not included in the Bible. But be aware, it is a 3 hour podcast
